I love the product...it's accurate and informative. I bought it when wildfires created days of smoke in my area. It validated that my air conditioning filter was taking most of the pollutants out of the indoor air. A bit challenging to pair, but finally figured it out...
Setup was pretty easy, just make sure you're connected to a 2.4ghz wifi network.
The device itself looks decent, and fits in well with most home furnishings. Honestly, you probably won't notice it too much until you look for it, which is good - it's non-obtrusive.
I live in a pretty clean air city, and the sensor seems to indicate this quite accurately. Would be curious how it works in somewhere like Beijing or Shanghai. It's a well-designed device that does exactly what it advertises.
Thanks for the review and we are happy you love the product!
Value for money product !
Given the PM2.5 situation in Thailand, this is a godsend.
I took it around with me one day and discovered exactly how different the quality of air is indoor and outdoor.
The reading inside my own house with open windows was 35.
Walking beside the road, it skyrocketed to 80.
In my air-conditioned office, the egg indicated 8 (see photo).
Now I now where I should wear a face mask and where I can just relax and take a deep breath of clean air.
Laser Egg itself is quite sleek, but unfortunately(or fortunately if you have an extra adapter sitting around and do not want to contribute to more waste) does not come with an adapter, but it does come with a USB cord. The fact that it has a battery is quite nice compared to other air quality monitors. Keep in mind this model only measures temperature, humidity, and PM2.5 but NOT CO2 like other similar air quality monitors.
App Setup: Was relatively easy, but they pretty much require your phone location to be on for the app to work. This was a bottleneck that I had to resolve with support, and as I use the app I continue to notice this as well.
App Usage: the app sees to be kind of finicky, as sometimes it seems like it requires me to connect to the same wifi(which kind of loses the point of an app). Currently, it gives me the last updated time of my current time, but also says "NO DATA"
Measurements: I haven't had a chance to compare to another air quality monitor, but it does seem to rise properly when I am cooking.
Quite good !
Hi Taha, you are right the Laser Egg doesn't tell the CO2 or the VOCs.
We have the Laser Egg+Chemical and Laser Egg+CO2 that have these capabilities.
You can find them in our products page ;-)
